This Energy Label facilitates the comparison between different facilities and guides the operational enhancement and upgrades for energy center.

Arcadia certification is a specialized accreditation that evaluates and recognizes the energy performance and efficiency of District Cooling Plants (DCPs) and onsite chilled water systems. This certification provides comprehensive assessment of the efficiency and effectiveness of all energy-intensive systems integrated within DCPs and chillers, acknowledging their ability to optimize energy usage and contribute to sustainable practices. Arcadia certification sets a benchmark for excellence in energy management and showcases the dedication of facilities towards creating a greener and more sustainable future.
Arcadia certification is awarded by the Gulf Organisation for Research & Development (GORD) an impartial and non-profit organization specializing in sustainability in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). GORD engages in various key operations such as research, development and innovation (RDI), setting industry standards, providing green buildings certification, offering accreditation services, facilitating voluntary carbon markets, conducting performance testing and disseminating knowledge. GORD is the developer and certification authority for the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS) MENAS first performance-based and Gulf regions fastest growing green building system for new buildings. Internationally, GORD collaborates with leading organizations including UNEP, UNFCCC, UNESCO, World Bank, ICAO, RCREEE, League of Arab States and AEE, where GORD is leading the AEES official Qatar Chapter and accredited training partner.
To earn the coveted Arcadia certification, project owners are required to contact us to be familiarized with the specific criteria and requirements for the certification. Upon confirmation of the project’s eligibility, the project will undergo energy assessment and verification through our comprehensive Arcadia Suite and our team of energy experts at Arcadia. This innovative software solution streamlines the verification process, ensuring accurate and reliable assessments of a project’s energy efficiency. Once the verification process is complete, GORD issues the Arcadia certification, identifying the rating achieved by your project based on its performance against specified benchmarks. Depending on the overall energy consumption of the project, four different ratings (Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond) can be achieved.
Upon successful completion of the assessment process, the projects are eligible to receive the following:
Label
The organization is granted a distinctive label that signifies its achievement in energy efficiency and sustainability. This label serves as a visible recognition of the organization’s commitment to environmental stewardship and can be displayed on project materials, websites, or other promotional materials.
Plaque
In addition to the label, organizations may be presented with a physical plaque commemorating their Arcadia certification. This plaque serves as a tangible symbol of their dedication to energy efficiency and sustainability and can be displayed prominently at the project site or in the organization’s premises.
Certification
Along with the label and plaque, organizations receive an official certificate acknowledging their Arcadia certification. This certificate serves as a formal documentation of the organization’s achievement and can be displayed, framed, or included in sustainability reports or other relevant documents.
